healthier earth, healthier you
the products you choose, make a difference
All Products sold and used in my chair are botanical, organic, sustainable and non toxic for you or the environment.
So much of our world today has us focused on what we put IN our bodies. Whether its for health, or esthetics, we are more and more concerned about what we eat then what we put ON our bodies.
I would argue BOTH are important.
And what is MOST important is that we fight to have all these toxic poisons removed from our foods and consumables in general. And by fight I mean we CHOOSE.
We can use up to 20 products a day on our skin and hair, and if each one of those products contain toxins, we are blindly poisoning ourselves. The easiest place to control which toxins go in and on your body is in your bathroom, putting you in charge of what you choose to put on and in your body.

Manifesto
This isn’t just about making the best hair and shave products in the world;
this is about a new movement of positive, disruptive change.
In the 21st century, style matters more than ever before.
Kids are making millions taking selfies of themselves on Instagram and sex videos make superstars out of rich idiots. 99% of our clothing is made by slaves, and companies keep pushing mediocre, throw away products that poison our bodies and trash the environment. And then they undercut the small businesses that pioneered their brands by selling direct to their customers online at a discount. We’ve all seen endless examples of this kind of bullshit. It’s as if the entire world has spiraled out of control. Everyone is zombied out at a time when we should be paying attention.
We can’t wait any longer for someone else to fix this mess, so we decided, “fuck it, let’s do it ourselves.” We can’t allow these conglomerates to destroy our industry, health, and planet. We’re on a mission to educate people that it is possible to combine consciousness, style and self-identity.
MAYBE A HAIR PRODUCT COMPANY CAN’T CHANGE THE WORLD, BUT WE CAN DAMN WELL TRY.
All of our decisions are based around three things; defending the planet, supporting independent salons and barbershops, and making people look rad without poisoning them in the process.
It’s time to revolt against subservient style and environmentally and physiologically damaging cosmetic chemicals. Those of us who spend every day up to our elbows in it should know. It’s time to fight back. It’s time for a revolt in hair care. It’s time for Cult+King.
Look good. Be good. Join the Cult.

HAIRSTORY STUDIOS
Everyone has a hair story. For some hair is a shield; for others it’s a beacon. Our relationship to our hair evolves as we do, but beauty companies ask us to focus on what goes wrong rather than right, adding fuel to our self-loathing. What if we could learn to love what we’ve been taught to hate?
Hairstory products help liberate us from negative norms that limit the expression of innate beauty.
We asked some provocative questions about hair care and came up with some surprising answers: Is shampoo the best way to wash? (No. It’s the worst.) Why are there so many shampoos for every type imaginable? (More stuff = more revenue.) How many hair products do the best hairdressers in the world actually need? (About 6, tops.)
